Join us at Ye Olde Hobnailas on Friday evening

May 21, 2018

On the Friday evening before Pre-War Prescott, we shall hold our traditional Informal Reception for early arrivers, which usually includes a number of overseas visitors, so the evening typically takes on an international flavour.  This year we will gather at the Ye Olde Hobnails Inn at Littte Wasbourne, just north of Prescott.  Dating from 1473, this delightful inn is reputed to have been L T C Rolt’s favourite local.  This is a brand new venue for us and comes highly recommended by local member David Hinds.  All welcome from opening time onward and meals will be available until 8-30 p.m.

Pre-War Prescott is just TWO months today!

Have you reserved your place on the start line?  Entries and confirmations for the day are pouring in.  In the last 24 hours we have had confirmations from Motor Wheel Service, Bentley dealers H.R. Owen Ecurie Cheltenham, who will be providing course cars in which everyone will have the chance via the RAF Charitable Trust raffle of a thrilling run up the hill in one of their supercars and 2328 Squadron Air Training Corps.  We have also received an entry from Julian Clarke of his 1903 Napoleon which stole the show last year as the oldest car ever to have entered Pre-War Prescott AND climbed the hill!  Don’t forget that ALL Centenarian cars of pre-1919 manufacture are being offered COMPLETELY FREE entry to Pre-War Prescott this year as we celebrate the twin Centenaries of the Armistice and the founding of the Royal Air Force.  As of this morning 289 climbs have been allocated and we have already received 40 entries for the Sunday Navigation Rally and Scenic Tour.

It is going to be another classic Pre-War Prescott and a fabulous weekend in the glorious Cotswolds, so if you have not already done so, get your entry in without further ado!

FREE entry for all Veteran and Edwardian cars this year!

January 19, 2018

With Pre-War Prescott now just six months away, planning is well under way for another super day out in the Cotswolds, plus of course the rally and scenic tour on Sunday.

This year, we will be marking two significant Centenaries  – the Centenary of the Armistice and the founding of the Royal Air Force.  We are delighted to announce therefore that ALL veteran Edwardian cars manufactured before 1919 are being offered FREE entry on Saturday.  All you have to do is include the details of your car on the online Entry Form and simply omit to check the ‘Pre-War Prescott Entry Ticket’ checkbox.  You will receive your free entry plus one free climb.  Of course you will also be able to purchase additional climbs, evening BBQ tickets and enter either of the Sunday runs Sunday if you wish.  All Centenarian cars will be parked together in pride of place at the foot of the paddock.

Pre-War Prescott 2018 – Entries are now open!

October 7, 2017

Entries for Pre-War Prescott are now OPEN!

As of today, Pre-War Prescott 2018 is up and running!  The website entry page has been updated for 2018, as has the downloadable entry form.  Entries can now be accepted.

The twin themes for Pre-War Prescott 2018 will be the Centenary of the RAF and the Centenary of the Armistice and we have much in the planning stages to celebrate these historic occasions.  To support the latter, we are particularly inviting Edwardian and veteran cars to join us.  We had a splendid Edwardian and veteran turnout at Pre-War Prescott 2017, so we are looking forward to a spectacular display next year.

As for the 2018 entry fees, the cost of hiring Prescott for the day was raised £600 this year and will be raised another £600 next year, but as you have all made Pre-War Prescott so popular, we are going to keep ALL of the prices the same as they were for 2017, in anticipation of another bumper turnout.

Now is the time for Clubs and Registers to get in touch to book space in the Paddock.  Pre-War Prescott offers the unique opportunity for Clubs and Registers to join us at Prescott without the burden of organization or financial commitment.  Just let us know you plan to attend and we will do the rest – at absolutely no cost to you!

And of course, the weekend will include a full range of evening social gatherings and the enormously popular Cotswold Navigation Rally and parallel Scenic Tour on Sunday.

We have a tremendous weekend in store and breaking news updates will be posted here and in the Newsletters as we move forward.

See you there!
