more illustrious entries

June 10, 2018

Peter Gregory’s low chassis 1936 Invicta S Type is the latest entry for Pre-War Prescott.  Seen here on the 2015 Alpine Trial Rally, the car is no stranger to Prescott.  The entry list now includes examples of Darracq, Dodge, Salmson, Frazer Nash, Lancia, Bentley, Talbot, GN, BSA, Singer as well as multiple examples of the more familiar marques, including 30 MMM MG’s, 10 Austin 7’s 11 Morris Minors, 6 Wolsley Hornets specials, 7 Frazer Nash-BMW’s, 11 Alvises, 5 Rileys (plus 10 spectating Riley RM Roadsters) and many more.  Illustrious or everyday transport – what do all these cars have in common?  Every single one of them survived the War, and many provided vital transport to our soldiers, sailors and airmen, thus playing their vital part in securing our victory.  And that is what Pre-War Prescott is all about.
