8th March 2015 Flat caps and berets the order of the day. John Fletcher reefs his 1935 Riley 12/4 Sprite rep. round Ettore’s at Pre-War Prescott last year. An air cadet gets an experience he will never forget, and the whole thing was recorded not only in this delightful image by Phil Jones but by the GoPro camera mounted on the bonnet, all adding up to the true spirit of Pre-War Prescott.
Entries are already mounting up with just over fifty already booked in for Saturday 18th July as well as a strong entry for the Sunday Navigation Rally and Scenic Tour – not to mention the Saturday evening Battle of Britain Victory Party and BBQ on the hill to mark the 75th Annivesary of that historic victory. We have already booked Mike Dowley (of MG spares supplier Sports & Vinatge Motors) and his band to entertain us for the evening and much, much more is in the pipleline.
We’d like to extend a special welcome to the Alvis Owner Club and the BSA Front Wheel Drive Club who have both requested their own area in the Paddock this year for the first time. We would also like to extend a very warm welcome the Dutch MG contingent who will also be joining us this year for the first time. Any and all other pre-war one-make car clubs and registered would also be most welcome to gather at Prescott on Saturday – just let me know and I will make the necessary arrangements at NO charge to the club.
Keep checking back for further news and updates as the weekend draws near.
